If you think back to everything you’ve ever seen about Medieval times, then you probably remember the family crests that the knights wore as they rode into combat. They didn’t only do this to look cool; they did it so that they could be identified from a distance to show their countrymen that they were always protected. We also hear that it was a great way to impress the ladies as well, but we’d never try to spread gossip like that since we don’t have any real proof.
Of course, they also did it to scare the poop out of their enemies as well. The neat thing was, even though the opposing factions may not have known the specific knight who bore the family crest, just a glimpse of its logo would be associated with hundreds of facts about that area’s politics, wealth, prosperity…even how good the local taverns were. Most of all, it showed a united culture that stood together as one and would not hesitate to draw swords whenever their liberties were threatened by outsiders.
So maybe you’re not looking to scare the poop out of your competitors…we get that. At the same time though, a logo is literally the first thing every business needs because it identifies exactly who you are to each potential customer. Just like the knights of old, your logo will be the first thing people see on stationary, business cards, uniforms, and in advertising campaigns so it really is a critical part of your identity.
Do not ever take having a company brand for granted; it really is the number one method of customers identifying you. If you’re ready to take this all-important step, contact us today so we can get started.
