First it was that little sensor on your refrigerator that told it when to switch over to economy mode.  As consumers, we thought that was pretty cool because it was a feature that happened behind closed doors and we didn’t have to do anything for the smart technology to work.  it was quite a different story though when everything from our alarm clocks to our cell phones and televisions started getting “smart”…all of a sudden we had a lot of technical manuals to struggle through.

Who Wants a Smart Car Anyway?

The true icing on the cake was our vehicles though, because our cars and trucks are like our babies.  For decades we’ve known every nook and cranny of them and while the option of a “smart car” sounded great at first, far too many of us can not stand the thought of having devices on our dashboard that requires a technology student at Cal Tech to operate.
