Tablets & Netbooks

In all honesty, our staff wasn’t a really big fan of tablets and netbooks when they first started hitting the market a few years ago because all we saw were the limitations.  Each of these devices is, after all, nothing but a small, lightweight computer system…but the manufacturers made them small and lightweight by stripping away about 70% of their overall computing power and capabilities.

Geeks to the Rescue

Our geeks had a completely different view, however, and it is times like these that remind us why we haven’t packed them in a UPS box and mailed them to a Caribbean Island.  Even though tablets, netbooks, smart phones, and other handheld devices are limited to what they can do in terms of versatility, our geeks have shown us that with a few tweaks and upgrades, these mini computers can really simplify our lives in a lot of different ways.
