Ok… I gotta say, I was a little skeptical about if I would like using a tablet… it’s not quite a laptop, a little more than a cell phone… what exactly is it’s purpose.
I told myself I would only carry around a tablet if it made me less dependent on pen and paper. I have narcolepsy, so I take A LOT of notes to remind myself of things later. I also work as a graphics designer / computer programmer / web programmer… so I’m constantly hatching out new ideas or sketching quick moment of inspiration for my latest project. So I needed something that would let me jot down text and doodle and image based notes.
Goal number two was that I had to have it respond quickly. A pen and paper are just waiting on me to grab them and be put to use and there is no battery life to contend with. I am pleased to say that this is one area where this particular tablet shines. I have the Asus Transformer Eee Pad Tablet with a keyboard docking station… and after a day and a half with moderate use and streaming music in there for about 8 hours, I have finally exhausted the docking station battery and I’m half way through the tablet battery. To me… that is just amazing. And just like a phone, it wakes right up when I’m ready for it.
I am very happy with this little tablet and will definitely recommend it to anyone. I’m actually writing this post from it right now ;o)
